As I didn’t have any tapered washers I
decided to use the other part of the aluminium block that I cut off
yesterday. Again I marked it and cut a
42mm hole in the centre. I then marked
and drilled the holes for the bolts.
Drilling the holes in the firewall took a while due to the fact
the new holes were very close to the ones that I drilled wrong when fitting the
master cylinder for the first time.
Once the holes were drilled I filed all
edges with round file and bolted it all together with M8 x 55 bolts.
As can be seen in the photos, adding the
packer has leveled the reservoir and given enough room to get the bottom brake
pipe connection in.
