I
bought a locking choke cable from ebay for £13 which I have installed to
operate the fast idle since it is manual on the K1 engine. I removed the immobilizer light and expanded
the hole to 12mm and installed the choke.
I added a large aluminum washer to spread the load on the fiberglass a
bit better.
The
cable is routed through the tunnel and around the side of the engine. I have tried to keep the radius of the bends
as large as possible as with 4 bends to get to the engine the cable starts to
bite a bit.
The
pull cable works fine but is a bit still.
This shouldn’t be a problem because as soon as it is released it springs
back to its original position.
